Maps for Europe exhibition in Brussels

Members of the European Location Framework (ELF) Project have been demonstrating how maps and land information can contribute to the European Commission's work at a special exhibition in its headquarters in Brussels.

The event, Maps for Europe, was organised by EuroGeographics, the membership association for European National Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registry Authorities in collaboration with Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union under the patronage of European Commissioner Marianne Thyssen.

From protecting against flooding or other natural hazards to intelligent transport and economic growth, many European initiatives need up-to-date, harmonised geospatial information.
