INSPIRE Conference 2013

The INSPIRE Conference 2013 will take place from  Sunday 23rd – Thursday 27th June 2013 in Florence, Italy.  The theme of this year's event is "The Green Renaissance".

The ELF Project will be hosting a joint workshop with the European Union Location Framework (EULF) and the Reusable INSPIRE Reference Platform (ARE3NA)

on Monday 24th at 11:00-12:30

This workshop will discuss the legal, policy and technical requirements needed to improve the way INSPIRE and e-government initiatives in Member States combine to deliver better services and support growth where location matters. It will address the role of each of the three initiatives in helping achieve this outcome and some of the recent outputs of the projects.

A "Learning Café" style of session will be organised to gather audience opinions on various topics relevant to these projects, including data policy, adding value to INSPIRE, the relationships between the projects, the use of open source software for INSPIRE, the approach to capacity building and partnerships, and location-enabling e-Government.

Attendance is on a first come first served basis and so please make a note in your calendar to attend.  The round table format of the event will mean that numbers will be limited and so please arrive promptly from the previous session!

The full list of the sessions on offer is available on the Conference website: http://inspire.jrc.ec.europa.eu/events/conferences/inspire_2013/

We look forward to seeing you at the workshop!
